For what is believed to be the first time in its 92-year run, "Parents" Magazine has put a same-sex couple on its cover. What's less surprising is the response that the anti-LGBTQ group billing itself as "One Million Moms" has had.

The two dads featured on the magazine's February cover are Shaun T., a celebrity fitness coach, and his husband, Scott Blokker. The married couple appears with their year-old twin sons.

One Million Moms was quick to blast the adorable cover pic, reported Australian news outlet SBS, organizing a petition that accused the publication of "using its magazine as a platform to promote the pro-homosexual lifestyle," and gasping in shock that copies of the publication might "be displayed in waiting rooms of dentist and doctor offices, where children could easily be subjected to the glorification of same-sex parents."

Of course, actual children of same-sex parents might enjoy seeing families like theirs acknowledged by the culture at large. As for exactly how children with mixed-gender parents might be harmed by the sight of two dads and their infant sons — a family configuration they might well be familiar with from their own extended families or school friends — was not discussed.

Global News took note of the fact that One Million Moms is a subsidiary of another ant-LGBTQ group: The Donald Wildmon-founded American Family Association, which has attempted many boycotts over the years targeting businesses that market to or have expressed support of LGBTQs.

The AFA has been listed as a hate group by watchdog organization the Southern Poverty Law Center for its "demonizing propaganda" against LGBTQs.

In the February issue, the two dads tell "Parents" about the long and difficult road they faced in becoming parents, Global News reported, before going on to contrast the anti-LGTBQ messaging sent out by One Million Moms by quoting a supportive tweet.

"What a beautiful cover." The quoted tweet exclaims, "and story of what a loving couple will do to become loving parents."
