No one could argue about the veracity of Jennifer Coolidge's devoted gay following. She's jumped from iconic roles in "Sex and the City" and "American Pie," to the more recent "The White Lotus."

But as it turns out, Coolidge's gay following has a history and the feelings are mutual. In a recent interview with the A.V. Club, to promote her new "Netflix queer comedy Single All The Way," Coolidge recounted how her relationship with the LGBTQ community began.

"It just started from a very young age," said Coolidge, who was joined by her co-star Kathy Najimy for the interview. "I don't think when you're young, you're very conscious of any decision you make."

Coolidge, who plays "Aunt Sandy" in "Single All The Way," explained that she naturally gravitated toward the LGBTQ community at a young age.

"You go with what you're attracted to. I think that's really what most of our youth is. And that's just what I was attracted to in all my friends," she said. "I don't think they had figured it out at the time when we were really, really young, but they eventually figured it out. And yeah, and it was all the gay men and all the gay women in my town, at my school or at camp."

Not to mention, "The gays have good taste," Najimy chimed in.

"They really do," said Coolidge.
