Activists, Celebs and More Pay Tribute to Larry Kramer on Social Media

After it was announced that AIDS and LGBTQ activist Larry Kramer died Wednesday at 84, tributes from fellow activists, celebrities and others soon came pouring in on social media.

One of the most notable responses came from Act Up, the organization that Kramer cofounded which became notorious in the 80s and 90s for its aggressive protesting in order to increase AIDS research and eliminate LGBTQ discrimination.

Others also offered their condolences, including Lambada Legal, director and transgender activist Janet Mock, LGBTQ activist Dan Savage, writer Mark Harris, actor Mia Farrow, actor Lin-Manuel Miranda and more.
