Krysten Sinema in Purple Wig Steals Show at Senate Swearing-In
Sen. Krysten Sinema (D-Ariz.), resplendent in a purple wig and zebra striped shawl, stole the show at the swearing-in of new Democratic colleague Sen. Mark Kelly on Wednesday, New York Daily News reports.
Earlier in the year, at the start of the pandemic, the openly bisexual Sen. Sinema begun wearing bright colored wigs as a statement about temporarily avoiding stylists and salons, finding ways to look our best professionally while working from home. While Sen. Sinema held the Bible upon which Sen. Kelly swore his oath, presided over by Vice President Pence, her look was in sharp contrast to the standard suit-and-tie fare of her male colleagues in the Senate.
