Iraqi-Born Fashion Designer to Open Boston Fashion Week

Boston, MA - Back Bay Resident, Firas Yousif, designer/owner of Firas Yousif Originals, on the first block of Newbury Street, has been selected to open this year's Boston Fashion Week 2012.

Firas's runway show will kick off Boston Fashion Week Friday, September 28, 2012 in the "TENT" behind the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the Back Bay.

Before the show, 300 ticket holders including many VIPS will walk the red carpet into the "Style Lounge" at the Mandarin Hotel at 7:00pm. The Runway show commences at 8:00pm and will run approximately 20 minutes.

Just this month, Firas also opened his new showroom, Firas Yousif Originals, on Newbury St. near the Taj Hotel. Firas will also be participating in this year's Newbury Street "Fashion Night Out" on Thursday September 6 from 6-10pm.

Firas creates stunning one-of-a- kind custom couture Bridal, Evening and Flirty designs. All of his timeless yet uniquely beautiful couture creations are made here in Massachusetts!

Firas's unique story began half way around the world in Baghdad, Iraq where he was born. Since moving to Boston 13 years ago and earning his MBA from Boston College-Firas has never looked back-- as his passion and love for Boston & New England continue to inspire him in creating his custom one-of-a-kind couture designs.

Firas Yousif Originals debuts the newest collection at his Newbury St. showroom: the collection will consist of more than 40 one-of-a-kind custom couture designs.
