More than 700 guests attended God's Love We Deliver's Eighth Annual Golden Heart Awards on Thursday, October 16, making it the largest and most successful event in the New York non-profit's 29-year history.

Anna Wintour, Cond Nast Artistic Director and Vogue Editor-in-Chief, was presented with the Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service by fashion designer and God's Love board member Michael Kors.

In his introduction of Wintour, Kors stunned the audience when he announced a gift in her honor for all of her amazing contributions to God's Love. The gift funds "The Anna Wintour Volunteer Center," to be built in the new God's Love headquarters. Kors' earlier gift to the agency will name the new God's Love building The Michael Kors Building.

"The amazing thing about Anna is her unwavering willingness to get involved in a cause she believes in, to make an impact, to find answers and to make sure all those around her are just as focused," said Kors. "I've never met anyone who has more of a roll up your sleeves and find a solution kind of attitude than Anna, and God's Love is a roll up your sleeves and find a solution kind of organization."

In addition to Wintour, Leslie Moonves, President and CEO of CBS Corporation, received the Golden Heart Award for Lifetime Achievement, presented by Academy Award-winning actress and United Nations World Food Programme Honorary Partner Halle Berry.
