Sean Hayes Engaged to Longtime Boyfriend

Actor Sean Hayes confirmed Tuesday that he is engaged to his longtime boyfriend, music producer Scott Icenogle, People magazine reports.

Hayes, best known for his role as the flamboyant Jack on the seminal "Will & Grace," sparked engagement rumors Monday after appearing on "The Talk" due to a wedding band he was wearing on his left ring finger.

"Sean Hayes and Scott Icenogle have been together for eight years. They are not yet married, but they have been engaged for quite some time," Hayes's rep told RumorFix.

Hayes, 44, hasn't confirmed how long he and Icenogle, a music producer based in Los Angeles, have been engaged, however. But People does point out that the actor was photographed wearing the same ring last month when he attended a charity event.

Hayes has kept his private life private after he publicly came out four years ago in an interview with the Advocate. Though he doesn't talk much about his love life, he did allude to his longtime partner in the same interview, telling the magazine:

"I spend time with a special someone in my life. That's it. That's all I need. I don't need events. I don't do a lot. I live my life like an 85-year-old man. I'm just quiet. It's fantastic."

Hayes, an Emmy Award-winning actor, was most recently featured on "The Millers" and had his own show called "Sean Saves the World," where he played a single father.
