NYC Dept. of Health Holds WAD Red Ball

On Monday, December 1, in commemoration of World AIDS Day, the New York City Department of Health will host The Red Ball, a reception at the OUT Hotel featuring performances by Ana Matronic, DJ Seth Ninja, DJ Sammy Jo, DJ Byrell and Symba.
The Health Department, in conjunction with the New York City Worlds AIDS Day Coalition, will also unveil a new report that shows new HIV diagnoses are at an all-time low. They will also provide free HIV testing.
Inspired by New York City's House Ballroom culture, the Health Department and its community partners will host The RED (Remembering/Empowering/Doing) Ball. This special event will feature a live musical performance by Ana Matronic of The Scissor Sisters fame, plus a World AIDS Day-themed fashion show, free HIV testing, condoms and HIV prevention and treatment information.
World AIDS Day is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic, and to stem the spread of HIV infection. Government and health officials, NGOs and individuals around the world will observe the day with AIDS prevention events.
