Naked Sex Date with a Hedge Lands Octogenarian in Trouble with Authorities

A public dalliance between an 81-year-old retired funeral worker and a piece of shrubbery ended with criminal charges, a hefty bail and video of the incident, The Smoking Gun reports.

Wallace Berg, a Connecticut octogenarian, was arrested Monday after neighbors present police with video evidence of him "humping" a bush outside of his Stratford home last month.

According to police, a neighbor reported Berg's man-plant lovemaking. A video of the incident shows Berg communing with nature in his yard until confronted by the neighbor, after which he "stopped the indecent behavior, covered himself with a grill cover, apologized to him and then went into the�house."

Berg was charged with public indecency and breach of peace. He is free on $10,000 bond and will appear August 5 for a Superior Court hearing.
