Watch: Columbian Pop Star Maluma Turns Heads with Sweaty Workout Vid

Columbian pop star Maluma may be one of the most thirst-trappy celebrities on Instagram. Take, for instance, an eye-popping pic he posted this week. "In the clip, Maluma performs a set of bicep curls with a pair of dumbbells," wrote Men's Health last week. And naturally, working out in the Colombian city of Medellín, where humidity is high, things can get a little hot and sweaty, so Maluma ditched his shirt, displaying a glistening torso with visible six-pack abs."

To which MH added the comment: "But honestly, guys. He's just staying healthy. We don't see what the fuss is about at all." Perhaps the spots of moisture on his gym shorts?

Whatever the fuss is, as MH reported in a 2019 interview, it has paid off. His "Instagram following dwarfs Harry Styles' and whose Youtube views step on the heels of Taylor Swift." At 28, he's been a performer since he was 15 years old in a musical style deeply inspired by reggaeton. He's collaborated with superstars like Ricky Martin, Jason Derulo, Daddy Yankee, and Madonna on his album "11:11." His name is a combination of three family members' first names.

At the time Maluma was living in Miami where he was balancing his career with his fitness routine. "Fitness goals? Being happy. If you have a right mentality and a right way of thinking, everything is gonna go right," he told MH. Diet is crucial to his fitness regimen. "My whole body, my mind, everything, works better when I eat good. It's the gas that you put in your body." But he does break his routine with beer. "You can't just eat that clean every single day. You need a beer."

Though he says he's straight, rumors spread after he made a video with Ricky Martin in 2016 that the performers were in a relationship. "It is being reported that the Colombian singer has denied romantic involvement with the fellow singer," wrote the Latin Times.

"The Colombian singer recently spoke with Miami radio station 'El vacilon de la Gatita', and denied any romantic involvement with the Puerto Rican singer."

"I am not gay; I don't have a relationship with Ricky Martin," Maluma told the radio station, according to the publication. "I love women." And Martin weighed in denying the rumor: "He is a young talent, enjoying his professional success," he said. "I felt very comfortable taping the music video with him."

About that time pics circulated of alleged nudes of the singer, pre-tattoos, on Tumblr, which were reported by the adult website The Sword. Follow this link to see them.
