EDGE Rewind: Gay Twitter has Thoughts on Taylor Swift's New Album 'Midnights'
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
EDGE is reaching into its archive and sharing some of our favorite stories from the past.
On Friday, Taylor Swift released her highly anticipated 10th studio album "Midnights." Unlike her previous albums, Swift did not share a single ahead of its release, keeping what it would sound like and its vibe under wraps until it dropped at midnight Friday.
That was the idea, at least. But in the week leading up to the albums release, Swift's collaboration with Lana Del Rey, "Snow on the Beach," leaked online – then the album in full. Nevertheless, the pop icon still had surprises up her sleeve and when the album hit streaming services on Friday, another version called "Midnights 3 AM Edition" appeared and came with seven unannounced songs, which were not leaked.
Gay Twitter has been buzzing all week about "Midnights." Many were disappointed – especially with Swift's Del Rey collaboration as it only features the "Blue Bannisters" singer on backup vocals and without a full verse. Others enjoyed the moodiness of the new album while others were bored. Find some of the best reactions, takes and of course memes, below.
