The Steamiest Queer TV Moments of 2023

Joe Locke and Kit Connor in "Heartstopper"

Joe Locke and Kit Connor in "Heartstopper"

The kissing/love montage in season 2, episode one of the delightful series, "Heartstopper" has to be one of the sweetest gay moments in streaming this year. Charlie and Nick (Joe Locke and Kit Connor) have eschewed some of their season-1-shyness and end up in bed. The scene is tame but hot and in episode two, the boys make out on the grass next to what looks like a fallen tree.

"Heartstopper" streams on Netflix.

Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine in "Red, White & Royal Blue"

Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez in "Red, White & Royal Blue"

Nicholas Galitzine is not just stunning to look at, but he's an extraordinary thespian. Paired with hottie Taylor Zakhar Perez, they sizzled onscreen as a British Prince who meets the son of the American president. The sparks fly and so do some clothes. Every time these two lock lips the allure-factor is off the charts. Galitzine's first kiss planted on Perez was sexy as hell and the second one, initiated by Perez, puts the cherry on top.

"Red, White & Royal Blue" is streaming on Prime.

Steffan (Fin) Argus and Drew Tarver on "The Other Two"

Drew Tarver & Steffan (Fin) Argus in "The Other Two"

One of the funniest gay sex segments was the "Brokeback Mountain/God's Own Country" homage scenes in the final season of the bonkers comedy "The Other Two" between Cary (Drew Tarver) and Lucas (Fin Argus). Argus plays an actor who can only fuck when he's in character. In episode nine, the two are in a tent. Lucas spits and enters Cary, but later Cary turns the tables. It's incredibly hot. And hilarious.

"The Other Two" is streaming on MAX and Prime.

Domino Gavino and Andrea Di Luigi

"Nuovo Olimpo"

The great Ferzan Özpetek, one of Italy's only filmmakers who consistently explores gay stories, has crafted a fascinating film about two 25-year-old dudes who fall for one another cruising the Nuovo Olimpo movie theater in the 1970s, only to lose touch. This bittersweet tale stars Domino Gavino as film student Enea and Andrea Di Luigi as the closeted med student Pietro. Early in the film the two make out on a Roman balcony and then move onto the bedroom for a deliciously sunlit love scene where flesh is exposed, and passion unleashed. It's an extended sexual encounter that ends with a bare-assed Di Luigi back on that balcony and a toweled Gavino joining him. Shame on Özpetek for keeping these boys apart for decades.

"Nuovo Olimpo" is currently streaming on Netflix.

André Lamoglia and Fernando Lindez in "Elite"

André Lamoglia and Fernando Lindez in "Elite"

"Elite" continues its unbelievably erotic sex scenes in its seventh season (and it was recently renewed for an eighth, thank you gay gods). The steamiest of the steamy involve the gorgeous curly haired Ivan (André Lamoglia) and Joel (Fernando Lindez). In episode four, Ivan tops Joel in an extended titillating scene. In episode five, Joel returns the favor only to have Ivan's boyfriend, Omar (Omar Ayuso), walk in as he bottoms. Oops. Ivan and Omar do have makeup sex a few episodes later.

"Elite" streams on Netflix.
