Watch: A Drag Queen Gets Sweet, Seductive Revenge in 'Femme'

Get ready to see gays behaving badly. In Sam H. Freeman and Ng Choon Ping's "Femme," a drag queen takes sweet revenge on her attacker, and it just might be the gay revenge movie we never knew we needed.

As reported by IndieWire, the film follows a lauded drag queen, Jules, played by Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, who crosses paths one lucky night with Preston, a homophobic man played by George MacKay. Preston attacks the Jules, but that's just the beginning of the story.

"Although Jules is able to recover physically, he withdraws from the outside world, traumatized," the film's synopsis recounts. "Months later, he recognizes his attacker by chance in a gay sauna.

"Without make-up and wrapped only in a towel, Jules is able to approach the other man incognito and find out who he is," the synopsis continues. "He begins an affair with the closeted Preston, with a plan to take his revenge."

Things get even more complex as the story weaves together acts of forgiveness, empathy, and violence.

It's juicy, and it's one of the most highly-anticipated queer films of the year. The film has won three British Independent Film Awards, including a Best Joint Lead Performance for stars Stewart-Jarrett and MacKay.
