"Friends" star Lisa Kudrow believes it's time for her to come back as character Valerie Cherish in HBO's comedy "The Comeback."

According to Kudrow, in an interview with Newsweek, she talks regularly talks about the show returning with co-creator Michael Patrick King, the man behind the "Sex and the City" revival "And Just Like That ..." So the odds of it actually happening could be building.

"Oh God, I'd love to. Michael Patrick King and I are always talking about what would happen next. Always," said Kudrow. "And it's been 9, 10 years now. So, we're due."

She added, "I'm just thrilled and adore anyone who has the level of appreciation for 'The Comeback' that meets the level of pride I have for doing that show. That is thrilling. I'm happy to hear that."

The mockumentary-style show was created in 2005 by Kudrow and King. Kudrow starred as a former sitcom star staging her TV comeback, not unlike Kudrow's real life after coming off the success of "Friend." Despite being canceled, nine years later in 2014, the show returned for a stellar second season. During that second run, Kudrow reportedly had no problem slipping back into character.

"A year ago? Never would have thought," said Kudrow when the show was picked up again.

Perhaps she will be surprised again soon.
