Spoiler warning: Don't read the following article if you don't want to see who won "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" Season 9 or who the three finalists are.
"RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" Season 9 came to an end on Friday where RuPaul crowned another winner of the franchise. This season things were a bit different as there were no eliminations and the eight competed for charity. The finalists were not decided by typical "All Stars" rules either. Instead, the queens earned "Beautiful Benefactress Badges" throughout the season and three queens with the most at the end of the season would move on to the finals.
After some twists and turns, the top three finalist of the season ended up being Roxxxy Andrews, Angeria Paris VanMichaels and Vanessa Vanjie. After a lip sync battle, RuPaul crowned Season 14 queen Angeria the winner.
As fans know, multiple endings are filmed and the queens are left in the dark as to who really won the until the finale airs.
Below you can watch the three finalists see Angeria be crowned the latest queen among queens, earning her charity – National Black Justice Coalition – a cash tip of $250,000 ($231,500 in total, including other winnings throughout the season). After being speechless, Angeria, wearing her crown and scepter: "I wanted this so bad. I tried so hard to amnefest it and I did. I did. And I'm proud. I'm so proud. I don't know girl...I won!"
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Angeria gave a more nuanced reflection.
"I want people to know that it doesn't matter where you come from. This journey, it started all the way from Sparta, Georgia. I grew up in a town where I was one of four gay people, openly. Getting on 'Drag Race' was already a big thing, and now winning is crazy," she said. "This is something that I don't think me or my family could've seen coming. It sends a message that it doesn't matter where you come from or how big your surroundings are; your dreams are even bigger, and you should always chase them."
