READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Lady Gaga is set to appear in Netflix's "Wednesday" in its forthcoming second season, The Hollywood Reporter announced on Thursday.
"The Oscar and Grammy winner will have a role in the Netflix hit, which is in production in Ireland. Details on Gaga's role are being kept quiet for now," the outlet writes.
Those that watch the show know there was already of a Gaga connection-of-sorts from Season 1 when a remix of her song "Bloody Mary" was overlaid on Wednesday's (Jenna Ortega) season one dance scene that went viral on TikTok and other social platforms after the show's 2022 premiere.
Gaga, though, isn't the only new face on Season 2. In addition, Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor will join Ortega, Gwendoline Christie, Emma Myers, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, and Emma Myers. Returning also are Catherine Zita-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and Victor Dorobantu as Thing. And making guest appearances are Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O'Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo.
Lady Gaga recently starred in the ill-received "Joker: Folie à Deux." She won an Oscar for Best Song for "A Star is Born," as well as receiving a Best Actress nomination for her role in Bradley Cooper's film. She also starred in "House of Gucci" and appeared on two seasons of "American Horror Story" on FX.
THR adds that Season One of "Wednesday" is currently Netflix's most popular English-language TV series to date, as measured by views (total viewing hours divided by running time) over its first 13 weeks of release. Creators and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar executive produced Season One with Tim Burton (who directed four episodes), Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Gail Berman, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Tommy Harper, Kevin Lafferty and Kevin Miserocchi. Ortega is a producer on season two.
Netflix also released a brief behind-the-scenes video of season two's production in September, which ended with Ortega saying in voiceover, "If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed and I'm not that generous."
