Lukas Gage Isn't Getting Enough Attention. So He's Written a Memoir
READ TIME: 7 MIN.
Lukas Gage is the first to admit he craves attention. Now the 29-year old actor has written a book to prove it.
"The White Lotus" actor shared with media outlets the cover of his autobiography "I Wrote This for Attention" that will be published by Simon & Schuster in the fall, as well as a synopsis.
"The book was inspired, in part, during a particularly difficult week in Gage's life, reads the memoir's synopsis. As his grandmother lay dying, Gage sat next to his father, who was largely absent throughout his childhood, scrolling through his phone," reads a People Magazine report.
What he learned was that people were calling him "an attention whore." And, according to the synopsis, Lukas agreed. "Lukas Gage was no stranger to going viral. He loved attention. As a toddler, he set his room on fire. As a child, he hugged and flirted with women at Hooters to his father's delight. As a teen, he stole handles of alcohol and cherry cough syrup. He had sex at a restroom in Chili's, and fell hopelessly in love with a girl who wore an ankle monitor. He became an actor and filmed that scene in 'White Lotus' (if you know, you know). Lukas was scared of attention and yet he craved it more than anything in the world."
